restaurants, terraces, etc where you will enjoy the famous “cañas”

Directions:
From the airport
By underground, you have
to change twice (three lines) go to Sol (several alternatives). In Sol
take the Calle Carretas Exit, don't go up Carretas Street, just look for
Carrera de San Jeronimo which is connected to Sol and walk this street,
the first on the right is Espoz y Mina Street. (Price: single ticket 1,15€,
ticket of 10, less than 6€).
By Taxi, approximately
20 minutes (depends on the traffic) its around 25-30€. Take the highway
N-II to Madrid, this will bring you to Avenida de América, continue
straight on to Paseo de la Castellana, turn left until you reach Cibeles.
In Cibeles turn right, there are two streets, take the one to the left
which brings you to Sol.
From Atocha Train Station
By underground, direct line
to Sol. In Sol take the Calle Carretas Exit, don't go up Carretas Street,
just look for Carrera de San Jeronimo which is connected to Sol and walk
this street, the first on the right is Espoz y Mina Street. (Price: single
ticket 1,15€, ticket of 10, less than 6€).
By Taxi drive up Atocha,
turn on the right to Plaza Jacinto Benavente, this street brings you to
Calle Cruz, go on Calle Cruz until you cross Victoria Street, the fourth
on the right.
We strongly recommend to
use the underground in Madrid, it is the fastest way to reach the centre
of Madrid as the traffic in Madrid is very dense during most of the day
and it is common to get in the middle of a traffic jam. |
